not sure why we say kobe? i am kobe fan now…but grew up watching jordan. not a hater at all…think kobe is th best in the game. however, looking at FG%, jordan surpassed the .500 mark multiple times in his career…kobe has never done that. so, when discussing “shooter” think that stat stands out…

I agree that it is not a perfect system, though I doubt John claims it to be. It is impossible to statistically determine any one persons full contribution to the game when the numbers depend on others around him. The hope is that over time, in the long run, it will give a reliable statistical basis. But taking numbers on even one entire season is foolish, proving you cant trade good old fashion scouting for pure numbers in roundball money.

We’ll see how well he can hold up physically. So far in the playoffs he’s shooting terribly with that busted finger They’re going to have a tough time getting back to the finals if he doesn’t start firing on all cylinders.
