If only they had been born ten years closer together.

You would probably have a hard time finding many credible sports fans that would answer anything other than “Kobe Bryant” if you asked the question, “who is the better pure shooter today?” That is almost as asinine a question as asking “Who would win today in a one-on-one game, Shaq or Wilt?” Wilt passed away a few years ago in case the asinine-ness of that questions doesn’t jump out at you. Thankfully, we are fair in phrasing questions in a way that allows for meaningful responses, so on this day the question is as follows: Taking into account all factors in terms of the level of competition, applicable NBA rules and style of game played in each of their respective eras, who was the better pure shooter, Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan?

  • The States for Kobe:

  • The Verdict: Kobe is the better pure shooter.
